This award is bestowed on exceptional young women (ages 16-19) who demonstrate excellence<strong>, <\/strong>leadership and dedication to public service. Elham had the honour of attending the 27th Zonta International District 18 Conference, held on 16 October 2025 at the Accra International Conference Centre.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember5154\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">This year\u2019s conference marked 55 years of Zonta\u2019s impactful work in Africa<strong>,<\/strong> under the inspiring theme: <strong><em>\u201c<\/em><\/strong><em>Realizing Equality: Building for an Even Brighter Future for Women and Girls<\/em> <em>in Africa.\u201d<\/em> The event brought together leaders, advocates, and professionals committed to advancing the rights and opportunities of women and girls across the continent. A highlight of the conference was the launch of Zonta\u2019s STEM Project for Girls, a bold initiative aimed at supporting academically gifted but financially challenged girls in STEM education.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember5155\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">Elham\u2019s participation reflects her deep commitment to leadership, civic engagement, and the empowerment of women and girls; values that earned her the Zonta Young Women in Leadership Award 2025.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember5156\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">At The Roman Ridge School, we are dedicated to nurturing the potential of our students. Elham\u2019s achievement is a shining example of this mission in action.
