Junior School students performed a cultural dance, while speakers from the Social Studies Department encouraged learners to draw inspiration from the past as they shape their future.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember27646\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">The second day focused on Ghana\u2019s Road to Independence, with Middle School students presenting storytelling sessions, skits, and poetry. A highlight of the day was a dramatic reenactment of the Anglo-Ashanti Wars and the courageous resistance led by Yaa Asantewaa, accompanied by traditional war chants and dances that vividly brought the historical moment to life.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember27647\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">On the third day, attention turned to Ghana\u2019s Economic Heritage, as Senior School students explored the history of cocoa and its profound impact on the country\u2019s development. Through presentations, students shared the story of Tetteh Quarshie and staged a dramatic portrayal of the spread of cocoa farming. Spoken word performances and reflections also emphasised the continued importance of agriculture to Ghana\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember27648\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">The programme concluded with Junior School Heritage Day, during which pupils proudly showcased colourful local dress, traditional songs, poetry, cultural quotes, games, and a lively fashion show. Their history projects and artworks were also displayed, highlighting their creativity and research efforts.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember27649\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">The Sankofa Heritage Programme reaffirmed TRRS\u2019s commitment to fostering cultural pride, historical awareness, and a deeper appreciation of Ghana\u2019s rich heritage.
