Our Form 2 students at TRRS embarked on an enriching educational trip to Kumasi from 17\u201319 March, immersing themselves in the vibrant history and culture of the Asante Kingdom. The experience was designed to deepen their understanding of classroom lessons by bringing them into direct contact with significant historical and cultural sites.<\/p>\n
Their itinerary featured a guided tour of the Manhyia Palace Museum, where students learned firsthand about the heritage, traditions, and legacy of the Asante Kingdom. They also toured the campus of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), offering them early exposure to university life and inspiring academic aspirations.<\/p>\n
Another highlight of the trip was a visit to Ntonso, where students observed the traditional craft of Adinkra cloth-making and discovered the cultural meaning behind the iconic Adinkra symbols. The excursion concluded at the Kumasi Zoological Gardens, combining learning with recreation in a natural environment.<\/p>\n
Through these immersive experiences, students gained a richer appreciation of Ghana\u2019s rich cultural heritage and strengthened their understanding of History in a memorable and impactful way.<\/p>\n
We extend our sincere appreciation to our dedicated teachers; Mr. Daniel Dodoo, Mr. Jones Osei, and Ms. Florence Afari for their guidance and support, as well as to school management for making this trip possible. The experience has left students with broadened perspectives, deeper cultural awareness, and lasting memories.<\/p>\n
