International Clean Energy Day At TRRS

TRRS marked International Clean Energy Day (27 January) with an inspiring session led by Valerie Labi, CEO of Wahu Mobility – manufacturers of electric bikes based in Accra and proliferating across West Africa.

Students learned about the importance of transition to renewable energy sources and the advancements in battery technology, which play a vital role in enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of electric vehicles (EVs).

Wahu Mobility demonstrated the mechanics of EV and how they run on clean energy stored in batteries rather than burning fuel, significantly reducing air pollution.

Students gained a deeper understanding of how innovation and education are shaping the future of electric vehicles in Ghana and the African continent, and how the shift towards renewable energy can help tackle environmental challenges while contributing to a global movement for cleaner energy.
