TRRS Observes World Interfaith Harmony Day

World Interfaith Harmony Day, celebrated on 1st February each year, was established by the United Nations in 2010. The day is dedicated to fostering mutual understanding, respect, and cooperation among individuals of different religious beliefs.

This year, TRRS marked the occasion to promote unity and create an environment where everyone, regardless of their religious background, feels safe and valued.

During the morning assembly, the Social Studies Department took the opportunity to emphasize the importance of peace, tolerance, and understanding in a world where religious differences can sometimes lead to conflict. Students and staff were encouraged to look beyond their religious identities and seek common ground based on shared values like kindness, compassion, and fairness.

Additionally, students wrote poems and had various presentations about religious tolerance. By focusing on these shared goals, the observance aimed to bridge divides and contribute to building stronger, more peaceful communities.

The observance of Interfaith Harmony Day served as a reminder of the vital need for understanding and collaboration across religious boundaries to foster a more peaceful and harmonious environment.
