We are thrilled to share the outstanding performance of our students at the National Scholastic Chess Championship held on Saturday 15 March 2025 at the International Conference Centre. This year’s competition saw many schools participating, with seven talented TRRS students competing, including three in the Under-14 category. Our students delivered an exceptional performance, showcasing their strategic thinking and technical mastery by sweeping the competition!
A special congratulations to Sachiin Raja (Form 1 East), who won every round of play to become Overall Champion! Lomharsh Singh (Form 2 Atifi) secured an impressive second place while Madhav Senthil Kumar (Form 2 Atifi) took Third Place. Their incredible achievements were celebrated with trophies and prizes, marking a great accomplishment for them and the TRRS Chess Team!
At TRRS, we actively support chess and thinking games that that sharpen strategic thinking skills and bolster cognitive developement.
A huge thank you to Mr. Daniel Dodoo (History Teacher) and Chess Club Patron, for his continued guidance and preparation of our students for this competition. Congratulations to the TRRS Chess Team and our Chess Champions for doing a yeoman’s job!
