TRRS hosted an inspiring Career Symposium on 22 May 2025, offering Form 1 and Form 2 students a unique opportunity to learn from the career journey of two inspiring leaders: Mrs. Eugenia Tachie-Menson, the Founder of the Young Educators Foundation and Ms. Juliet Amoah, Country Director at Emerging Public Leaders.
The purpose of the event was to provide students with insights into the career path of some successful professionals and to highlight essential skills that contribute to success in any field.
During both sessions, the speakers shared their personal experiences, focusing on key attributes and soft skills such as teamwork, adaptability, and having a clear sense of purpose in one’s professional journey. They delved deeper by discussing their career trajectory, sharing the challenges they have encountered, and the successes chalked along the way, demonstrating how these key attributes were vital to their achievements. Their individual stories provided the students with a deeper understanding of the universal principles that guide successful professionals, regardless of their industry.
The Career Symposium helped students appreciate that while career journeys may differ, the core skills required to thrive remain consistent across all fields. By learning from the speakers’ experiences, the students gained an in-depth perspective on the importance of perseverance, continuous learning, and personal growth in shaping their own futures.
We are grateful to Mrs. Eugenia Tachie-Menson and Ms. Juliet Amoah for sharing their unique stories and creating a memorable and impactful experience for the students. Kudos to Mrs. Anna Mensah (Careers and Guidance Counsellor) and Ms. Ruby Boye (Middle School Admin Manager) for facilitating this programme.
