TRRS Students Visit Family Health Medical School

On 10 September 2025, TRRS Senior School students interested in studying medicine had the opportunity to visit Family Health Medical School in Teshie, gaining insights into further studies in medicine and careers in the medical profession.

During the visit, students engaged with the faculty, who shared insights into the requirements for various medical programmes. They also had the opportunity to tour key facilities, including the Human Anatomy Lab, Family Health Medical Hospital, and student hostels. A highlight of the day was observing Year 4 medical students perform patient history examinations, offering a glimpse into the practical side of medical training.

Our Careers & Guidance Counselling Department organises regular student visits to the nation’s top tertiary institutions and facilitate internships and job shadowing opportunities at dozens of reputable organisations each year, across a myriad of sectors. Careers Education is integral to our wider Secondary and Sixth Form curriculum,  actively supporting students to explore and develop deeper insights into the careers they aspire to pursue.

Thank you to Family Health Medical School and our Careers & Guidance Counsellor, Ms. Anna Mensah for organising the visit. This experience has undoubtedly helped our students gain a clearer vision of their potential career paths in medicine.
