We are proud to celebrate the achievements of one of our outstanding students, Elham Hamza (Upper 6 Atifi), recipient of the prestigious Zonta Young Women in Leadership Award 2025. This award is bestowed on exceptional young women (ages 16-19) who demonstrate excellence, leadership and dedication to public service. Elham had the honour of attending the 27th Zonta International District 18 Conference, held on 16 October 2025 at the Accra International Conference Centre.
This year’s conference marked 55 years of Zonta’s impactful work in Africa, under the inspiring theme: “Realizing Equality: Building for an Even Brighter Future for Women and Girls in Africa.” The event brought together leaders, advocates, and professionals committed to advancing the rights and opportunities of women and girls across the continent. A highlight of the conference was the launch of Zonta’s STEM Project for Girls, a bold initiative aimed at supporting academically gifted but financially challenged girls in STEM education.
Elham’s participation reflects her deep commitment to leadership, civic engagement, and the empowerment of women and girls; values that earned her the Zonta Young Women in Leadership Award 2025.
