TRRS Observes World Mental Health Day with Week-Long Awareness Initiative

At The Roman Ridge School (TRRS), we commemorated World Mental Health Day 2025 with a dedicated week of activities aimed at fostering awareness, empathy, and emotional resilience among our students.

From 6 to 9 October 2025, Form Tutors facilitated meaningful discussions during morning Form Periods and Circle Time discussions, using short, informative videos to explore key topics, such as: Understanding mental health, its importance, strategies for maintaining it, and how to seek support when needed. To extend learning beyond the classroom, additional resources were made available on students learning platforms for students to engage with during the Half Term break.

This initiative is an extension of our on-going pastoral care programmes and reflects TRRS’s unwavering commitment to the holistic development of our learners. It focused on the importance of: healthy lifestyle choices that promote good nutrition, sleep habits, fitness, outdoor activity and limiting screen time, as well as practical tools for good self-care, dealing with stress and the importance of peer-to-peer support.

Good health includes good mental health! We are proud of our students for their participation and grateful to our Form Tutors for leading these vital conversations with care and compassion.
