Class 2 Pupils Explore the Rich Beauty of Ghanaian Art and History at LAFA

On 27 – 28 November 2025, our Class 2 pupils took learning beyond the classroom with an inspiring visit to La Foundation for Art (LAFA). The goal was to explore the beauty of local Ghanaian textiles firsthand, extending their lessons in History and Art.

Pupils were thrilled to observe, touch and appreciate a variety of beautiful local fabrics, gaining practical insight into the techniques they had explored in their lessons, such as tie-dye and batik. The Curator’s interactive sessions and explanations not only reinforced classroom learning but also sparked excitement amongst the children!

This experience perfectly reflects TRRS’s commitment to academic excellence, providing real-world exposure that deepens our pupils’ appreciation of Ghanaian history and culture, whilst nurturing creativity. The change of environment and expert interaction made this learning journey memorable. The experience was nothing short of amazing!

A heartfelt thank you to LAFA and our dedicated Class 2 Team: Mrs. Joyce Adjei, Ms. Esther Aning, Ms. Priscilla Awuah, Ms. Georgia Horatio, Ms. Abigail Attuah, and Mrs. Abena Boateng for making this enriching experience possible.
