Each year on February 1st, World Interfaith Harmony Day is observed worldwide; a day designated by the United Nations in 2010 to encourage mutual respect, understanding, and collaboration among people of diverse faiths.
This year, TRRS joined the global observance by highlighting the importance of unity and creating a community where every individual feels respected and safe, regardless of religious background.
During the morning assembly, the Social Studies Department led a meaningful reflection on the values of peace, tolerance, and empathy. In a world where religious differences can sometimes create division, the message focused on the importance of looking beyond individual beliefs and embracing shared values such as kindness, compassion, and fairness.
Students also expressed their understanding of religious harmony through poetry and drama presentations centered on tolerance and inclusivity. These activities aimed to bridge differences and inspire a spirit of cooperation within the school community.
The day’s observance served as a powerful reminder of the ongoing need for dialogue, respect, and collaboration across all faiths to build a more peaceful and harmonious society.
