Creativity in Action: TRRS Interhouse Art Competition 2026

The Roman Ridge School hosted the 2026 Interhouse Art Competition, a vibrant celebration of creativity, innovation, and artistic expression. Designed to showcase students’ artistic abilities, technical mastery and creativity, the competition also encouraged participants to embrace constructive critique and develop resilience in their creative processes.

Far more than an art contest, the event offered a meaningful platform for personal and academic growth. Students were challenged to reflect on social and global themes, transforming abstract ideas into compelling visual narratives. Through healthy competition, they pushed beyond routine academic expectations, took creative risks, and demonstrated originality that traditional assessments may not always capture.

Displaying the artwork throughout the school further reinforced our commitment to elevating student voice, fostering a sense of community, and celebrating diverse perspectives within our learning environment.

We extend our warmest congratulations to all participants and especially to our exceptional winners:

·        In the Junior School category, the COBRAS team impressed the judges with their mixed media interpretation of “Under the Deep Blue Sea,” created by Joseph Abalansah (Class 4 Atifi) and Alina Adjei (Class 3 West)

·        In the Middle School category, the BEARS team explored the theme “Dualities” through a compelling mixed media presentation by Zaima Aribah(Form 2 West) and Manuella Aguadze (Class 5 East)

We also acknowledge the dedication and expertise of our Art Department: Yaa Ossei-Poku (Art Coordinator), Raymond Buadu Ashirifie (Art Teacher), and Viviane Sowah (Principal Teacher), whose guidance were instrumental to the success of this event.

The Interhouse Art Competition continues to embody our commitment to nurture creativity and innovation, empowering students to create with confidence, purpose, and passion.
