TRRS Students Stand Out at the Lancaster University Ghana Business Cup Challenge

Students from TRRS showcased exceptional innovation and entrepreneurial skill at the Lancaster University Ghana Business Cup Challenge, held on 20 February 2026 at GNAT Hall.

This national event brought together high school teams from across the country, aiming to empower young people to contribute meaningfully to Ghana’s economy by applying modern business concepts to real-world challenges.

TRRS was represented by three teams from Lower Six (6), who demonstrated analytical thinking creativity in a highly competitive setting. Their hard work yielded impressive results, with two teams advancing to the final round of the competition. One of our teams ultimately earned the position of Second Runner-Up (3rd place overall), placing them among the top-performing schools nationwide.

The Business Cup Challenge offered students valuable exposure to practical business development. Participants collaborated to design innovative solutions, pitch their ideas to a panel of judges, and showcase strategic and entrepreneurial thinking. Through the experience, students strengthened key competencies such as critical thinking, teamwork, communication, and public speaking.

TRRS’s involvement in this competition reflects the school’s dedication to holistic education and leadership development. Such opportunities encourage students to apply classroom learning in authentic contexts while nurturing the confidence and leadership skills needed for the future.

We extend our congratulations to all participating students and proudly acknowledge the outstanding achievement of the Second Runner-Up team: Ronna Padi (Lower 6 West), Cheryl Stewart(Lower 6 West), Raphael Akkary (Lower 6 West), Sargam Amin(Lower 6 East), Mafata Konneh(Lower 6 Atifi), and Sukhnain Singh(Lower 6 Atifi).

The students received guidance and mentorship from Mr. Regan Afari (Mathematics Department) and Mr. Eric Asare and Mr. Theophilus Ashun (Social Studies Department), whose support helped prepare the teams for the challenge.

At TRRS, we remain committed to providing enriching opportunities that inspire students to think boldly, collaborate effectively, and contribute meaningfully to Ghana’s future economic growth.
