Our Form 1 students had the opportunity to participate in an enriching educational visit to ePac Flexible Packaging on 25 March 2026. This experience was designed to make learning more practical, engaging, and relevant by connecting classroom concepts in Geography to real-world industrial activities.
During the visit, students were introduced to the processes involved in producing flexible packaging materials. They observed how raw materials are transformed into finished products using modern machinery and technology. They also gained insight into key factors that influence industrial activity, including technology, resource availability, and location. Additionally, students learned about waste management practices, recycling, and the environmental impact of industrial activities.
This hands-on experience strengthened students’ grasp of Industrialisation by helping them apply theoretical knowledge to authentic contexts. They enhanced their inquiry skills while developing a stronger appreciation for production processes and how industries meet client needs, sparking interest in potential future careers within the manufacturing and technology sectors.
The visit reflects TRRS’s commitment to experiential and inquiry-based learning, offering students valuable opportunities to explore concepts such as sustainability, industrial location, and human -environment interaction beyond the classroom. Thus, developing environmentally aware and responsible global citizens.
