Form 1 students of TRRS embarked on an educational excursion to the Dr. Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park in Accra on 27th October 2025. Organized by the Social Studies Department, this visit was part of a broader initiative to deepen students’ understanding of Ghana’s rich history, cultural heritage, and the legacy of its founding leaders.
The students toured the mausoleum and museum, engaging with exhibits that highlight the life and vision of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana’s first president and a central figure in the country’s independence movement. Through artefacts, photographs, and historical documents, students gained valuable insights into Ghana’s journey to self-governance and the pivotal role played by Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
Interactive sessions with experienced tour guides sparked curiosity and thoughtful discussions, helping students connect classroom learning with real-world history. This immersive experience not only reinforced key topics in their Social Studies curriculum but also instilled a sense of national pride and appreciation for Ghana’s rich and poignant history.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the Social Studies Department, especially Mr. Daniel Dodoo (History Teacher), and the Form Tutors for their leadership and coordination in making this excursion a success.
