TRRS Model UN Conference 2026

The TRRS Model United Nations Conference 2026 (TRRSMUN26), held from 15–16 January 2026, delivered an enriching two-day diplomatic experience for students from Form 3 to Upper 6. Guided by the theme, “Navigating the Polycrisis: Cooperation in an age of interlocking challenges,” delegates engaged in rigorous debate, negotiation, and policy drafting across committees such as the Secretariat, Media, and Delegate Affairs. Students represented a wide range of countries like Ghana, France, China, USA, UK, Denmark, Pakistan, Algeria, Sudan, Greece, Slovenia, Sierra Leone, South Korea, among others and demonstrated a strong grasp of global affairs.

Across the conference, participants explored major global issues such as:

Safeguarding freedom of the press and combating disinformation campaigns

Protecting the rights of refugees in conflict zones in Bangladesh

Promoting sustainable energy transitions in the face of climate change

Developing strategies to prevent online child exploitation and cybercrime

These committee discussions mirrored real-world diplomatic processes and allowed students to apply skills gained through the TRRS MUN and Debate Club, strengthening their public speaking, critical thinking, leadership, and analytical abilities.

The closing ceremony celebrated exceptional performances. The Overall Best Delegates were Petra Adjei-Kumi (Lower 6 East), Sara Quaye (Form 5 Atifi), Ameera Sowah (Lower 6 West) , and Naa Koshie Manyo-Plange (Lower 6 West), each demonstrating outstanding diplomacy, collaboration, and initiative throughout the conference.

Special appreciation goes to Mr. Emmanuel Gbedemah for his committed facilitation and guidance, which contributed significantly to the programme’s success. TRRSMUN continues to play a vital role in shaping articulate, globally minded, and socially conscious young leaders who are well-prepared to engage with the world’s most complex challenges.
