TRRS Hosts Reps from UCLA

On 24 March 2026, our school had the honour of hosting a delegation from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), led by Professor Tyrone C. Howard, Director of the UCLA Center for the Transformation of Schools. The delegation an interactive session with our Sixth Form students, during which the team shared valuable insights into UCLA’s academic programmes, tuition and funding opportunities, admission processes and requirements, and the wide range of support services available for international students. They also offered thoughtful perspectives on the transition from secondary school to university, highlighting key differences in academic expectations and campus life. They also toured our campus, exploring our facilities and engaging with members of our school community. The session proved highly enriching, providing our students with a unique opportunity to interact directly with representatives of a globally renowned institution as they prepare for the next phase of their academic journey. We are deeply grateful to the UCLA team for their visit and for inspiring our students to pursue excellence in their higher education aspirations. Engagements like these underscore our ongoing commitment to equipping students with the knowledge, exposure, and confidence needed to transition successfully into university life. A special thank-you goes to Anna Mensah, our Careers and Guidance Counsellor, for facilitating this impactful and memorable experience.
