Class 6 students of TRRS embarked on an insightful educational visit to the Holy Spirit Cathedral on 29 April as part of their Religious Studies programme. The trip provided a valuable opportunity for students to connect classroom knowledge with real-life religious practice through first-hand experience.
During the visit, students explored the structure, symbols, and functions of a Catholic church. Key features such as the altar, pulpit, baptismal font, and tainted-glass windows were examined, re-enforcing their understanding of their significance in Christian worship. The session was led by Father Michael, who guided students through the order of service, the role of the priest, and core Christian practices.
Students actively participated by asking thoughtful questions, taking notes, and reflecting on similarities and differences between Christianity and other religions studied in class. This interactive approach made the experience both engaging and memorable.
The visit strongly reflects TRRS’s commitment to fostering respect, responsibility, and tolerance. By exposing students to authentic religious environments, the school continues to nurture open-mindedness and appreciation for diverse beliefs and practices.
This enriching experience enhanced experiential learning and reinforced classroom concepts, further demonstrating TRRS’s dedication to holistic education and the development of globally aware, respectful students.
The trip was facilitated by Miss Roberta Prebbie (Social Studies Teacher), whose guidance ensured a meaningful and well-organized learning experience for all participants.
