From 14 to 16 September 2026, the Roman Ridge School (TRRS) senior campus came alive as students took over the “Road Block” venue for the highly anticipated TRRS MUN 4.0. This year’s three-day event marked a historic milestone, serving as the largest and most dynamic simulation since the inception of TRRSMUN. It brought together a remarkable total of 116 active participants from Form 3 all the way up to Upper 6.
The entire exercise was designed with a clear, impactful essence to help senior school students unearth, exhibit, build and celebrate their vital soft skills through the power of diplomatic dialogue, rigorous negotiations and strategic debates.
True to the core mission of The Roman Ridge School, TRRS MUN 4.0 provided an immersive platform for students to put the institution’s values into practice. Whether engaging in heated moderated caucuses, navigating intense unmoderated networking sessions, or collaborating outside of committee chambers, students lived and breathed the ethos of critical thinking, leadership, and global citizenship. Through the process, delegates sharpened life-changing capabilities, including:
- Public speaking and debating
- Strategic negotiation
- Confidence building
- Deepening global perspectives
- Professional diplomatic skills
The event opened with a vibrant opening ceremony graced by the Head of Senior School, Mrs. Josaine Chammas, whose presence set an inspiring tone for the days ahead. Students were distributed across specialised operational roles—including Logistics, Delegate Affairs, the Secretariat, Media, and Chairs—simulating a real-world international summit.
The stakes were raised on the third day when a sudden Crisis Section plot twist was introduced. The surprise scenario forced delegates to think critically on their feet, utilising every tactical lesson and debate skill they had acquired to find real-world solutions to urgent global problems under immense pressure. The programme reached an exciting climax with a grand awards ceremony celebrating the stellar contributions of the most outstanding Delegates, Chairs, and dedicated departmental members of the Secretariat.
