TRRS at the 2026 Nataraj Art Competition

Some students from The Roman Ridge School participated in the 2026 Nataraj Art Competition at the Borteyman Stadium, held as part of the Ghana Inter-School Festival in collaboration with the Center for National Culture and sponsored by Nataraj. The event took place on 16 May 2026.

Centered on the theme “My Favourite Thing in Nature,” students explored the significance of forests and wildlife through creative artistic expression. Working independently for over two and a half hours, they produced pieces that were evaluated for originality, creativity, confidence, and relevance to the theme.

The judging panel, comprising representatives from the Arts Center, assessed each artwork based on originality, creativity, confidence, and relevance to the theme. The competition celebrated artistic excellence through awards such as Most Creative, Best Depiction of Nature, and overall placement distinctions.

Beyond the competition, the experience highlighted the vital role of co-curricular activities in nurturing creativity, confidence, and cultural appreciation outside the classroom. It also reflected our commitment to fostering the holistic development of every learner, encouraging not only academic achievement but also character formation, and creative expression.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our dedicated facilitators: Raymond Buadu Ashirifie (Art Teacher) and Gertrude Nabonadam (Art Teacher), and Lawrence Ayisi Addo (Computing Teacher) for their guidance and support.

At The Roman Ridge School, we remain committed to nurturing well-rounded learners by creating opportunities that inspire creativity, build confidence and resilience, and promote cultural awareness alongside academic success.

We are proud of our students for representing the school with creativity and excellence.
