TRRS Scholars Shine – Iman Maltiti Hamza and Zarin Subah Awarded Prestigious Harvard Book Prize 2026
The Harvard Book Prize is an esteemed global tradition established in 1910 by the alumni of Harvard University to recognise outstanding secondary school students in their penultimate year. Presented annually in over 1,900 secondary schools worldwide, this prestigious accolade serves as a beacon for attracting talented young individuals to Harvard University. We are exceptionally proud to announce that two of our brilliant Lower 6 students, Iman Maltiti Hamza and Zarin Subah, have both been honoured with the prestigious Harvard Book Prize for the 2026 academic year. This esteemed award recognise outstanding students who demonstrate academic excellence, exceptional personal qualities, and impactful contributions to their school or community, as well as their insightful responses to an essay prompt.

Both Iman and Zarin have continuously proven themselves as pillars of excellence within the Roman Ridge School community, showcasing the precise combination of academic brilliance and vibrant extracurricular engagement that this accolade celebrates.
In recognition of their scholastic and personal triumphs, each recipient has been awarded a personally inscribed copy of “The Harvard Book,” an anthology of essays by Harvard alumni spanning centuries. This momentous double win further cements our school’s legacy of excellence, as TRRS has now garnered a total of nine awards since the prize’s establishment in Ghana in 2018, proudly maintaining the highest tally of any school in the country.
