The Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS) is a highly prestigious professional membership association representing headteachers of the world’s leading independent preparatory schools. Founded in 1892, it serves as a primary benchmark of quality in early and primary education, representing over 660 schools across the UK and globally (including Africa, the Middle East, and Asia). TRRS remains the only accredited member of the UK Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS) in Ghana.
The IAPS iArt competition is an annual art contest for pupils attending IAPS member schools. It encourages artistic development, fostering critical thinking and creativity in young artists. This year’s iArt theme is “Contrast“. An open theme to encourage children to consider the breadth of approaches, encouraging them to think about differences and opposites in creative ways.
The Art Department had the difficult task of only selecting 4 pieces of art work from across the entire school submitted to enter the prestigious IAPS iArt Competition 2026 and we are thrilled to announce that Ezinne Anya (Form 3) has been awarded 3rd Place in the Global IAPS iArt 2026 Competition (Y9–10 Category). This phenomenal achievement highlights Ezinne’s immense creativity, dedication, and technical skill.
To celebrate this international success, Ezinne was invited to attend the official iArt 2026 Prizegiving Ceremony at Wetherby Prep School in Bryanston Square, London, on Thursday 11 June 2026. She received her award in front of talented young artists, families, and educators from across the UK and around the world.
On behalf of the entire school community, we want to extend our warmest congratulations to Ezinne. We are incredibly proud to see your hard work recognised on such a grand stage. Thank you also to our wonderful art staff and to everyone who continues to support and inspire creativity within our walls. We cannot wait to see where Ezinne’s artistic journey takes her next!
