At TRRS, our student body is divided into four vibrant Houses: Cobras, Hawks, Bears, and Sharks. This framework is crafted to nurture cross-year friendships, cultivate a collaborative spirit, encourage spirited competition, and inspire our pupils to strive for ultimate success. We take great pride in acknowledging triumphs across diverse fields, including athletics, academics, the creative arts, student leadership, and community outreach.
With the start of each new academic term, personal milestones translate directly into House points. These scores build up over the months through a variety of inter-House tournaments ranging from Basketball to Volleyball, Athletics to Coding, Spelling Bees to Maths & Science quizzes, Art competitions and more! Points are awarded for various personal achievements, including: The Chairman’s Bursary, Principal’s Honour Roll, end of year Awards/Prizes, student leadership appointments, participation in a range of clubs and extra-curricular activities ranging from Chess Tournaments to Model UN, as well as national/global awards from external bodies like the Harvard Club of Ghana, Duke of Edinburgh/Head of State Award, Zonta International and the Royal Commonwealth Society (Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition).
Scores are calculated at the end of each term, culminating in the crowning of the Overall Winning House at the end of the school year.
We are absolutely delighted to declare that Sharks have successfully defended their title, emerging as the overall champions after a fiercely contested year!
