Form 1 Students’ Educational Visit to the Sikh Temple

TRRS Form 1 students embarked on an educational visit to the Gurudwara Sahib Sikh Temple in Accra on 30 April 2025. The visit was incorporated to complement their classroom learning about Sikhism and offer a deeper understanding of its history, philosophy, and practices.

During the visit, students engaged with a Sikh priest who provided an insightful overview of Sikhism’s core beliefs, principles, history and philosophy. They learned about important Sikh principles such as seva (selfless service) and langar (community kitchen). They also had the chance to observe Sikh rituals and explore sacred artifacts with the guidance of a temple representative.

This first-hand experience allowed students to better appreciate the significance of these religious elements in the Sikh faith, broaden their cultural awareness and enhance their overall educational knowledge about the Sikhism.

This initiative aligns closely with our ethos of promoting inclusivity, respect, and global awareness. At TRRS, we are committed to fostering curious minds by connecting classroom knowledge with real-world experiences, encouraging a more holistic approach to learning.

Special thanks to their Tutors, Mrs. Mabel Gavor, Miss. Sandra Abankwa, Mr. Daniel Tabi, and Miss. Bridget Osei-Owusu whose guidance ensured a well-organized and impactful experience.
