On 8 May 2026, a group of students from The Roman Ridge School (TRRS) attended a university programme launch event hosted at Academic City University under the theme “Bold Programmes. Designed for Impact”.
The event brought together students, educators, and industry professionals and featured presentations on newly introduced undergraduate and postgraduate pathways. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about emerging fields of study and explore how higher education is evolving to respond to global trends and workforce demands.
The programme also included engaging talks from engineering professionals in Ghana, who shared practical insights on innovation and the application of technical knowledge in real-world contexts. This was followed by an exhibition showcasing student-led projects and ideas aimed at addressing contemporary challenges.
For TRRS students, the experience offered valuable exposure to different academic and career pathways and highlighted the critical role of education in bridging theory with real-world impact. The event also provided a meaningful opportunity to engage with current developments in higher education and innovation.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Mr. Patrick Owusu Afriyie (Computing Coordinator) and Mr. Godwin Krieger (Computing Teacher) for facilitating and supporting student participation in this enriching experience.
At TRRS, we remain committed to providing our students with opportunities that broaden their perspectives and inspire them to think critically about their future paths.
