On Monday, 5 October 2026, The Roman Ridge School (TRRS) community came together to celebrate World Teachers’ Day 2026 with a Special Assembly, heralding the tremendous impact that TRRS educators have on our school every day.
It was a beautiful outpouring of gratitude, filled with insightful reflections and messages of appreciation from all stakeholders across our cherished school community.
Our Principal, Mrs Valerie Mainoo, delivered a heartfelt address thanking the staff for their tireless devotion. In her address, Mrs Valerie Mainoo reminded everyone of the invaluable work that teachers do both in and out of the classroom – instilling our children with the values, morals, and essential life skills that help shape them into the responsible, compassionate leaders of tomorrow.
- Mr William Inkumsah and Mrs Ramya Ediga shared a thoughtful message of congratulations from the Academic Board of Governors on behalf of the Chair, Rev Dr Joyce Aryee, thanking TRRS teachers for their dedication and hard work.
- Mr Gerard Boakye, TRRS PTA Chair, expressed his profound gratitude on behalf of all parents and presented the teachers with a long-stemmed rose and a sweet treat to celebrate their special day.
- Representatives from the TRRS Class of 2027—Zoe Boamah, Nicolas Nayo, Nana Oye Koranteng, Sargam Amin, and Giovanni Francis—shared personal testimonials recounting how TRRS teachers have positively impacted their lives and inspired them over the years.
- Lower 6 students Velma Okyere-Darko and Kristodea Hammond, alongside Marie-Noelle Arkutu of Form 4, delivered a delightful musical performance.
- Mr Regan Afari and Mr Daniel Dodoo (TRRS Teachers of the Year 2025/2026) spoke passionately on behalf of the teaching faculty, urging all students to reach out and impact their communities positively.
A major highlight of the morning was the presentation of Special Teachers’ Day Certificates, beautifully designed by The TRRS BluePrint Club, which drew thunderous applause from students across the school.
To our Teachers: for every lesson taught, every question answered, and every time you encourage our children to believe in themselves—THANK YOU. You do not simply teach; you inspire, you support, and you build the pillars of leadership, integrity, and excellence that define The Roman Ridge School.
