Navigating Future Pathways: TRRS Students Engage in University Fairs Throughout September 2026

At The Roman Ridge School (TRRS), we remain deeply committed to the holistic nurturing of our learners, ensuring they are thoroughly prepared for the next exciting phase of their lives. To kick off our university readiness programme for the academic year, the school successfully hosted three distinct university events during the month of September 2026.

Organised and facilitated by Ms. Anna Mensah (Careers & Guidance Counsellor), these interactive sessions provided our senior students with invaluable direct access to international university representatives. These initial September sessions have set a fantastic foundation for our students’ future planning.

  1. Spotlighting Canada: University of Waterloo
  • Date: 9 September 2026
  • Venue: Junior Library
  • Participants: Lower Six

Our September event series kicked off with an intimate and highly focused session at the Junior Library, where our Lower Six students met with representatives from the University of Waterloo. This session was highly practical, focusing not just on the undergraduate programmes and scholarships available in Canada, but also on the core transition skills students need to build before arriving at university. Students walked away with a strong understanding of Canadian student life and concrete strategies to succeed in a rigorous tertiary environment.

  1. Opening Global Doors: The Mini University Fair
  • Date: 23 September 2026
  • Venue: T-Block Assembly Grounds
  • Participants: Form 4, Form 5, and Lower Six (Class of 2028)

The momentum continued later in the month with a vibrant Mini University Fair held at the T-Block assembly grounds. This event opened a massive window of exposure for our senior students, giving them a unique opportunity to directly engage with university representatives. Students actively enquired about undergraduate programmes, admission criteria, and scholarship funding. The fair focused heavily on mapping out both the academic and non-academic requirements needed to secure international student admissions across France, the UK, the USA, and broader Europe.

  1. Exploring Diverse Horizons: University Representatives Visit
  • Date: 29 September 2026
  • Venue: Room S2
  • Participants: Lower Six

Concluding our September lineup, representatives from York University and the Hochschule Luzern (HSLU) visited our Lower Six students in S2. This targeted, interactive learning session allowed students to explore a diverse array of undergraduate programmes across different global destinations. The visit perfectly aligned with our ethos of holistically preparing students by giving them a clearer picture of the unique career paths and institutional cultures available to them abroad.

Through these ongoing engagements, TRRS students continue to gain the clarity, confidence, and competitive edge needed to step boldly into the world ahead. We extend our sincere thanks to Ms. Anna Mensah and our visiting institutional partners for making our September sessions a tremendous success. Stay tuned for announcements regarding our upcoming fairs!
